OverviewEdit

The Bio Grenadier is a chemical weapons based infantry unit released in the 2.0 Patch. It makes use of Poison Damage-over-Time (StatusEffect-poison) and is essentially an upgraded Grenadier, similar to how the Chem Trooper is essentially an upgraded Flame Trooper.

At Rank 1, the Bio Grenadier has 200 Stat-HP and will deal Damage fire 34-46 damage with its Chemical Vials. The Bio Grenadier requires rare Resource-chem to be trained. It does relatively low damage when compared to units of its level range, although the DoT does cause reasonable harm to the victim. One big disadvantage is its range of 1-2, which makes it outdone by other grenadier type infantry with a 3 range like the Allied Raider Boom Boom, Frontier Engineer, Wolf Grenadier and even the standard Grenadier.

In PvP, these units can be very good if used effectively. Rank 3+ Bio Grenadiers have enough health and defense to be useful if you use 1 or 2 mixed in with some low PV units like Riot Troopers, Shock Troopers and Rangers.  The Bio Grenadier can take care of armor while other other units deal with infantry.

The Bio Grenadier is also a good Infection candidate, being one of the units that can be transformed into "Archetype" level Infected units. It has an 57% chance of producing an "Archetype" level unit.

  • This unit has 6 visible vials with him (4 on the body, 1 in each hand). The two ammo are for the vials in the hands. However, during the attack animation, for both ammo, the vial is thrown from the same hand.
