Hello! Welcome to Chumblespuzz's Tips and Tricks for Utter Noobs! I am, as you can see, Chumblespuzz and I am here to share some knowledge I have collected for over four months of playing Battle Nations.

A personal nation in Battle Nations can tell a lot about a person. I'm not trying to tell you to make your outpost littered with pretty flowers and fountains just for publicity, but it can tell whether the player is militaristic, nation-centered, or fanatic on the collection of resources (for me, it's 1 and 3). Here are some ideas you should follow if you are in one of the three catagories.

Tab system
Recently, thanks to the help of two editors we have enabled a new tab system on our pages. A complete example can be seen in the Trooper's attack section in which his attacks have been tabbed in order to save space and make it neater. 10,000th edit?! Wow...
Just noticed that I was given the 10,000th edit "lucky charm" badge. I got the 9,000th not too long ago too. Has there really been 1,000 edits in that short span of time!?? Hooray to the BN Wikia contributors!
On a different note, I've been burning merits, stars and even dozens of nanopods on units and upgrades that I normally would not get, all for the purpose of finding data for this wikia. Boy I'm obsessed...
And 1.4 is here...
... and it's gonna change so many entries in the wiki, AGAIN. I just finished taking pictures of the Elder Sandworms, which were labeled "Groundshaker", from the recent Animal Invasion event. I still have an Elder Sandworm on my land, cause I'm keeping it around to "research". I just checked and Z2 finally made some "logical" updates:
- The former "Sandworm Grubling" is now "Groundshaker".
- The former "Groundshaker", of the tiny variety, is now "Sandworm Grubling".
- The former "Groundshaker", of the fat event-only variety, is now "Elder Sandworm".
Attack/Weapon icons have changed across the entire map.
The former "Defense" attribute that was added in 1.3 is now called, "Security".
The new attacks that were added mid-1.3 now have names.

List of my ToDo's
So this is a list of things I need to do on the wiki;
Unify time formats, especially in the promotion timesClean up offsets within the overarching weapon box of attack types since they are all over the place in the current 'float' arrangementsSorta kinda doneAdd new fields to seperate the presentation of resistances/vulnerabilities from the values. Right now they are hardcoded. It needs to be seperated into several fields which can be edited numerically and then displayed as one. Also integrate icons into this.- Update the unit overviews. Not quite 1.4 yet...
Ok, so the updated game files is just preparation for the coming 1.4 (official patch notes). Those notes do not include the changes and additions they've made to existing units though. Units have stats tweaked a bit (I think), critter allies can now level up, icons have been changed up for units, etc.
Sadly, some of those changes seem incomplete and we are waiting on Apple to release the update through iTunes, and hopefully those holes will be filled! Examples include the new Grenadier attack upgrade and Shock Troop attack upgrade, which are lacking names.
Impatiently waiting for 1.4, not just for prestige and merit, but to collect data for this wikia!
Battle Nations 1.4
Battle Nations 1.4 made a surprise visit, and it changed so much of the information that we've collected. I'll be relying on my level 17 "test" account that I've been using to collect information. Sadly, I think I might even have to create another new account, just to double-check stuff. Of course, I'm also busy playing Diablo 3 and grinding for Teeth now :)
Just when I finished updating all the Barracks units wiki entries to the new template made by Maehan. Props to him for his work on making the templates easier to use (but don't try editing the templates yourselves - it's way more complicated!)
A Strange Occurance

Ok, something really suspicious happened today. I left off my game hunting sandworms on Thursday, before turning in for the day. On Friday, I see that the battle is over, and that all of my most important combatants are in the hospital (raptor and commando, of all things), as well as an artillery and 4 recons. I also realized that the taxes from my hovels have been collected an hour ago, even though I only play once a day. Today, someone or something has been attempting to cover up the incident by continuously healing the dead units ( I started to heal the Raptor yesterday, and It was healed, but the gun truck was automatically healing itself today, right this minute.). When first playing Hack Slash Loot, I found it to be a challenging game with absolutely too few resources. Having written "technical" guides/faqs for Gamefaqs over a decade ago, I decided to collect some information for HSL, but needed a place to share it.
Simple note-taking turned into an obsession! Learned more about MediaWiki "language", game playing turned into a crawl as I was screen capturing every few seconds, then spending the next 5 minutes editing that picture before resuming gameplay. This went on until Z2Live released the 1.3 patch for Battle Nations, and its deep and rich promotion system.

1.3 Overhaul
Hello, this blog is meant to serve as a guide to the overhaul and what should be priority.
- 1 High Priority
- 2 Secondary Priority
- 3 Low Priority

- Getting all unit pages into the new style which includes the Unitinfobox, Unitbox, Heal Cost, Cost and Unitlevel box. The Trooper page is the best example of what pages should look like.
- The templates that require input (Unitinfobox, Heal Cost, Cost, and Unitlevel)should be filled within the best of your ability, we don't expect you to start executing your Super Tanks just to find out what is needed to heal them.
