OverviewEdit

The Bora-Bora Hovercraft is a limited-time promotional unit introduced during Shrow's Revenge for Resource-nanopod 80. It was re-released for one day on October 26th 2015 for Resource-nanopod 60 as part of the Breaking Into the Vault! sale.

This unit can do a lot of damage to infantry and light-to-medium armor with its Napalm Rocket attack, especially combined with the chance of StatusEffect-fire DoT. Its EMP Rocket attack does devastating damage and has a chance to StatusEffect-stun Vehicles. If you are fighting infantry, put it in the front row and use the Spray attack, albeit a tactical one as this attack focuses on the front 3 spaces of the Bora.

This is not a bad unit at all, perhaps a bit less useful than a tank crusher at mid row, but its range of attacks (ground and air) makes it very useful, especially if the player can protect it behind tanks/blocking protective units. It can be used at sea where it can inflict the fire and stun effects to the enemy sea units.

The biggest offset of this unit is its repair time: if you have a basic Repair Bay, it has a 24 hours repair time, so try to not lose this unit, for example early in a boss strike. If a player can rank this unit up to improve its resistances, and carefully protect it in a boss strike, there is no reason it will not last 4-5 waves till the end. Most players, who bought this unit, will usually field it(or several of this) towards the end of a boss strike when putting it in a repair queue won't adversely affect other repairs.
