"Although the heavy bazooka remains the standard anti-tank weapon for the Imperial Infantry, small numbers of the recently developed rocket propelled grenade launcher are undergoing field tests. While the heavy and awkward bazooka requires a team of two to operate, the lighter RPG launcher can be loaded and fired by a single trooper, even from a standing position. Compared to the Bazooka “Squad”, the RPG Trooper is able to duck, dodge, and dive behind cover, making them far more survivable under front-line conditions."
The RPG Trooper is a premium unit, costing 40, whose role is primarily anti-vehicle. Training the RPG Trooper also requires the premium building, Weapons Factory.
The RPG Trooper fires rockets which can do devastating damage to Vehicles and Aircrafts, with high armor penetration so that even Tanks will fear them.
Prior to the 1.3 Patch, the RPG Trooper stood out far from the Bazooka Squad, the former being able to fire every other round with higher accuracy. The RPG Launcher no longer fires every other round, but its lower damage is made up by the extra rocket ammo before needing to reload. Also, compared to the Bazooka Squad, the RPG Trooper's anti-Tank role is compounded by its high defensive stats, which are ideal for avoiding direct tank shells, giving the RPG Trooper that slight edge in those rare face-offs against tanks.
