The Flying Dexter Fragment is the Tier 10 reward for the 10th Boss Strike event, Dr. Vogel, and the prize unit for the 76th through 200th ranking guilds.
The Flying Dexter Fragment, commonly referred to as the Flying Fragment, is a Dexter Fragment that appears to have been operated on by Dr. Vogel, though that is just speculation. It is a strategic air unit, and while its attacks are not very powerful, it has its uses.
The first attack, Tail Whip, causes -type damage and has a range of 1-5. It also has an "Indirect" line of fire, so players won't have to worry about Tanks blocking strategic units. It causes moderate damage and has a low crit rate, which is significantly higher against soldier units.
The second attack, Gatling Laser, is a laser attack and is more useful against Tanks and heavily armored units due to its armor-piercing nature. The attack causes -type damage and, like the first attack, has a range of 1-5. Unlike the first attack, it has a "Precise" line of fire, so blocking units such as Tanks will prevent it from taking out key, backline targets. Though, you'll mostly be using this attack against the Tanks themselves. The attack does moderate damage. At rank 7, the attack causes about the same amount of damage as a Rank 1 Dexter Fragment.
The Flying Fragment has an adequate amount of HP and Armor. Though, what really makes it shine is all the damage resistances this unit has. It's also immune to Fire DoT, Freeze, and Stun.
One of the things that makes the Flying Fragment stand out from all the other units is that it, and Infected Hunters, are the only Air units that can be used in battles inside the Spiderwasp Nest. The fact that it's immune to the Fire DoT means that taking this unit into Spiderwasp Nest battles is even more advantageous. This unit can also come in handy in battling the Spiderwasp Queen.
Note: These units are ordered by first appearance. The Boss Strikes in which these units got released are noted in superscript. For a list of all Boss Strikes, click here.
