The Gun Truck is a hauler from the player's resource depot, that has a rocket cannon mounted on it. The Gun Truck's high powered cannon can eliminate most infantry and weak vehicles In a single hit.
The Gun Truck utilizes a high-damage, one-shot weapon which is powerful enough to eliminate to destroy infantry and vehicles with ease. However, Its low Offense, at least compared to other units, dampens the initial enthusiasm. Also, the Gun Truck only has 85 at Rank 1 and a hefty healing cost of 1440 , 653 and 9,450 , so it is recommended to keep it behind a defensive troop.
As mentioned in the quest that tells you to create this vehicle (Guns on a Truck), the Gun Truck is supposedly a hauler (from your Resource Depot) with a Cannon or Bazooka attached and some kind of ammunition laid in the bed, as per Sergeant Ramsey's instructions.
It might be worthwhile to have Gun Truck units later on, but an early adoption is probably not a good idea for how much Iron and Oil would be needed to produce them. The Tank Killer is a stronger version of this type of unit, dealing very high damage to a single unit, then triggering a large reload time. The Tank Killer is unlocked at Level 27, only 6 levels after the gun truck is unlocked, although the high cost in and may postpone building and mass producing the Tank Killer until later levels. So overall, the Gun Truck is a good investment when unlocked, but becomes obsolete over time.By the time you reach Level 22, you will obtain two Gun Trucks for free if you complete The Siege of Marin missions.
- The gun truck is a hauler with a cannon strapped to it, as explained by Zoey. However, various rebel encounters use this unit. This is possibly an oversight, or given the improvised nature of the gun truck, can be produced by anyone.
- Player level requirement reduced to 21, from 24.
