Overview[]

The Light Chemical Tank (LCT) is a tank with poison attacks that does StatusEffect-poison Damage-over-Time (DoT). Although it is not as powerful as the Heavy Chemical Tank and requires a higher level Vehicle Factory to build than a Firedrake, this unit does not require Resource-nanopod to train, and its damage is superior compared to the latter. However, the Light Chemical Tank requires Resource-chem to build and repair.

The LCT's starting attack, Chemical Burst, fires directly forward and will hit all units in the line unless stopped by a blocking unit. It does the most damage to the frontmost unit, with a 100% to apply its DoT. Both the damage and the chance of the attack doing damage over time drops the further back the target it. Against a unit with no resistance against Poison, over 3 turns this will do 3 times the base damage. For example, if it hits a unit for 90 damage, it will do 90 DoT on the 1st turn, 60 on the 2nd turn and 30 on the 3rd turn. 90 + 90 + 60 + 30 = 270 damage.

At Rank 2, the Light Chemical Tank can research an attack called Chemical Sweep that sprays the 3 horizontal spaces in front of it, doing full damage and applying its DoT 100% to all targets. It also gains an additional ability slot, giving this unit much more versatility. Multiple Light Chem Tanks are able to defeat most enemy formations.

Critters are unable to do much damage to armored units and are vulnerable to poison, taking 125% damage. In addition, the high Offense of LCT helps counter the high Defense of Boars and Raptors.
