OverviewEdit

The Melee Sentinel Fragment is a powerful unit which can be obtained by beating the Ancient Sentinel. It is however vulnerable to StatusEffect-frozen freezing, meaning it can be dispatched quickly. This unit attacks in a checker pattern and will do lots of damage to all vehicles with a high crit rate. This unit is amazing in PvP as its value is very low for its strength. The Ranged Sentinel Fragment is considered by some to be better due to the versatility of both attacks.

The 'checker board' attack is highly valued in boss strikes as an anti-tank weapon. It is also especially adept at dispatching enemy aircraft due to the crushing nature of its attack.

Since the Melee Fragment cannot be stunned, it is very useful against the Ancient Sentinel. However, it can be frozen and this is its main weakness. Expert and lucky players possessing Ranged Fragments would usually pair those 2 together, so that they compensate for each other's weakness.

The current drop rate for the Melee Sentinel Fragment is 2% (or 1/50).

TriviaEdit

  • Like the Ranged Sentinel Fragment, this unit requires teeth and necklaces to promote, which are usually only required by animals.
  • While fighting Ancient Sentinel, the Ranged Arm is vulnerable to freezing while the Melee Arm is vulnerable to stunning. It is different for fragments, the Ranged Sentinel Fragment is vulnerable to stunning and the Melee Sentinel Fragment is vulnerable to freezing.
  • Although it is possible to get both the Melee Sentinel Fragment and the Ranged Sentinel Fragment in one battle against the Ancient Sentinel, the current chance is only 0.04% (1/2500).
