The Plasma Tank is Plasma unit released in the 4.0 Patch. It can be trained at the Plasma Weapons Factory for 88. This is a powerful unit with anti-aircraft capabilities and strong defense. Its crushing defense is not as high as other tanks, so a Mechanized Trooper could easily dispatch this unit but it makes up for this by having higher offense than most other tanks. The third attack, Plasma Fissure, may be useful for softening up large enemy formations. However, at a closer glance, the Plasma Tank isn't as capable of killing infantry as effectively as the Mega Tank so that is something to think about when purchasing this over the Mega Tank.
Based on resistances only, the Plasma Tank is more durable in most situations than the Mega Tank, and can be well worth the extra 3. However, it is unlocked 18 levels later than the Mega Tank.
Because of their indirect line of fire, Plasma Tanks can shoot behind Blocking units like Mega Tanks.
