Overview[]
The Railgun Buggy is a unit introduced in the 3.2 Patch. It is the vehicular analog of the Railgun Trooper but not without significant differences. It functions as a tank destroyer, with its powerful cannon, high Defense and poor protection. The Railgun Buggy has 75% damage output of a similar ranked Railgun Trooper with a reduced armor piercing capability of 80%. Another notable difference is the direct line of fire it uses for its primary attack which means that it cannot target blocked units unlike its premium soldier counterpart. However, its slightly higher Dodge stats can compensate for some of its weaknesses.
It can still target three squares at once and may put a significant dent in enemy formations of any size. The two main drawbacks of this unit are its -type damage (which many units have resistance to) and its poor resilience to enemy attacks. Therefore, one should exercise caution when fielding this unit because of its low health and high heal cost. It is relatively fast, but enemy artillery will still dispatch of it with ease, considering this does not take them out first.
The player gets a free one from the mission Prototype in the Field.
