- "The Railgun Tank is able to withstand the pressures of the frontlines and pierce through an entire column of enemies."
- — 3.2 Patch Notes
Overview[]
The Railgun Tank is a premium unit costing 75 Nanopods and was added in the 3.2 Patch along with the Railgun Buggy and the Railgun Sniper. This unit shares many similarities with the Laser Tank and, of course, the other Railgun units.
The Railgun Tank has 325 and 200 at Rank 1, which is decent. It has only one attack, High Velocity Bolt, dealing 120-180 damage with 80% Armor Piercing to an entire row of enemies. The downsides of this attack are its 4-turn cooldown, and relatively low damage output (for a higher-level Nanopod Unit). It is also good to note that the attack (along with the attack of the Railgun Buggy) is Direct as opposed to the attacks of the Railgun Trooper, Railgun Tech and Railgun Sniper meaning it will be mostly restricted to attacking the front row, with dropped off damage in the back rows.
As a tank it functions like a slightly nerfed Super Tank with a somewhat higher Defense and a railgun attack. Its Armor has a high resistance to and damage. Once the Armor is gone however, it is pretty much defenseless. Especially damage with high Armor Piercing will take this unit out quickly. These vulnerabilities should be taken into account by players when choosing where to place the Railgun Tank.
