Overview[]
The Shock Trooper is a premium unit that costs 4 and is available early in the game. The player is given two near the start of the game for free.
The Shock Trooper has a lot of for a low-level unit, and coupled with high defensive stats, only prolongs the Shock Trooper's time on the battlefield. Its ability to promote quickly and for little cost also means that it quickly becomes a much more powerful unit. High ranked Shock Troopers are a nuisance to units that rely on low accuracy, high damage attacks, such as tank shells. The low healing cost also adds to the versatility of this unit.
While limited to the front row due to the unit's max range of 1, this unit is capable of higher damage output when compared to the Trooper. However, the higher damage capacity is rarely realized due to the attack's low Offense.
At Rank 3, the Shock Trooper can research the Controlled Burst attack for . This attack trades the 3rd burst (only x2 instead of x3) for increased accuracy and a slightly better chance to do critical damage. The lengthier cooldown actually reduces the overall damage potential of the unit, especially since the Shock Trooper only ever has 1 Ability Slot. This attack reduces the Shock Trooper to a very specific role, that of a meat shield and delivering key shots.
